almost blind and dead, thomas o’malley was rescued by the local shelter after receiving a call from a neighbor who heard a faint meow in the storm drain. they estimated he was stuck there for a few weeks. they washed him off, warmed him up, and gave him basic medical attention. luckily, the weekly photographer for the shelter was there that day and put him up on the website for adoption immediately. luckily (again) i happened to visit the site just to look. when i saw him, i knew had to have him.
now…every, single, morning he’s outside my bedroom door waiting for me to get up. he greets me every day with loud purring, body rubs, and head butts to my ankles 🙂
tommy is the sweetest kitty in the world, but his claws are monsters. he’s part bengal, and even when we trim his nails regularly, his biology takes over. he accidentally hurts the humans and the other kitty, so our vet recommended softpaws.com
i didn’t think they’d work, but they do! he could care less that they’re on his (usually sensitive) paws.
